Random Talks | 'Beauty Standards'

my english writing is not so good, i'm sucks at grammar, but i think some of the times i need to write something in english just to make myself get use to it, so let's try.

here's my thought on how i see nowadays's women.

I'm a debater, and the terms Feminism never been something new to talk about,
we've heard a lot about every single things regarding feminism,
and from what i've  seen in social media, most of the people are well educated to understand why feminism was there, and plenty of them are aware about this issue as well. even tho there's also some of conservative groups in society who disagree with feminism.
I don't think that i need to explain about feminism's historical context, cause we're all understand how worthless a women and how horrible the discrimination towards the women is back then.
Yet we're all also agree that they've undergone several phase to be recognize by the society, to eradicate the beauty standards which has been set by the patriarchist, and to have the freedom of choice, the freedom to determine their own future.

Well, here's the funny thing.
I've seen by myself, that the beauty standard is not something that's set by the partriarchist anymore, it such an irony that nowadays the beauty standard it self is set by the women who call them self as feminist.
Women today's aren't genuinely proud of being them self, the rise of beauty products, and plastic surgeries prove to us that those things are highly demands, people are happened to perceived  women as an object, as a market place by put an iconic, insanely pretty girl as the measurement of beauty. And get worsten by the rise of internet, and social media as well. In contradiction that they supposed to be the platform to promote and uphold this movement

Us, Women. unconsciously trying to meet those standarization only because we want to buy society's compliment.
just because out there, skin care commercial shows us a model with fair skin then society perceived that  the definition of beauty, determine by your skin tone.
This also shown by the phenomena of body goals, where women trying  to shape their body, even be as skinniest as possible, then walk with their brows done. And those who meet the criterias will be the "fairest of them all"
In oftentimes is see woman do body shamming towards the other woman whether they  are trying to be them self or change the shape of their lips, doing nose jobs etc.
by saying "you are a horrible bitch looks pretty just because of the nose job"
or "go to  hell, my ass looks even better than your face"
or even "let  me buy you some cosmetics so your face would not ruin my instagram timeline"
how cruel was that?
You'll always gonna be wrong in the perspective of society.

Some of you may say that it's okay for those girls to have their brows done, to have a plastic surgery, etc. because it's their rights to do what ever they want to  their bodies, and faces.

But try to ask your self a questions, when you bought a skin care  are you really buy those products because of you need them, or because of you want to look just like the pretty models or even just because your friend looks good on it?

as well as wearing make up, i do wear makeup some of the times, i love to see my self on makeup. but i'm regretting those who feels like  they aren't  pretty enough without make up, then they relay on make up to covering up their flaws, i'm regretting those who feels insecure if someone out there sees them without their make up on.
Yet i'm also regretting those prejudices that says, there's a girl who only look pretty because of they good at make up.

My boyfriend ever told me this :
"make up should not be something to covering up your flaws, but something to raise your inner beauty, or to show the excess part of your face" and i'm kinda agree with him.

So, you girls need to understand that your self is not something to be ashamed of
you may not a beauty queen but you're beautiful you (just like what selena said in her songs right? haha)
you need to take a look on you purposes when buying a beauty / aesthetic product, make sure that you are buying and using them because of you want to be grateful for what you've got, for what god has given to you, so you want to take care of them as much as possible

If you want others to respect and appreciate you, you need to firstly love your self.
You don't need to compare your self to other, you doesn't always have to meet others expectation,
when you feel comfortable with no makeup then don't wear them
if you feel comfortable with make up then  go wear them
life is as simple as that, no need to think about other's prejudices.
you don't need to be kylie and kendall Jenner  to be pretty.
You just need to  be you.

Don't follow the beauty standards, create your own.
